Meet Our Team: Wanda Anderson, Service Tech’s Dispatcher

At Service Tech, we pride ourselves on having a team that is highly trained and professional, and Wanda Anderson is no exception. Wanda has been one of our employees at Service Tech for the past six years. She is a dispatcher and is a seasoned veteran in the Heating & Cooling industry from Cocoa Beach, FL.

Background in Heating & Cooling

Wanda began her career in the heating and cooling industry in 1999, and her career has grown over the years as she gained knowledge and expertise. She came to Service Tech in 2016 in search of a life change, and she currently works here as a dispatcher.

She describes a day in the life of a dispatcher as “busy.” It’s Wanda’s job to make sure all of the operations at Service Tech run smoothly. Wanda communicates with customers to determine what services they need, and then she assigns service technicians to these jobs. Together, Wanda and her team work promptly to ensure the clients are comfortable indoors all year long.

Not only does she offer support to the customers, but also to the service technicians: it’s her job to check in with them and let them know what their next job will be. She works hard to make sure everything is working effectively.

It’s Wanda’s job to manage many moving parts and different groups of people. But it’s a good fit — Wanda said her favorite part of the job is getting to interact with the customers.

Prioritizing Family

Wanda is married with two sons. Her favorite activity when she’s not at work is spending time with her two granddaughters.

If she could have any superpower, Wanda said she would want to fly. One of Wanda’s sons lives in Ohio, so that state has become one of her favorite places to visit. “I really enjoy the city he lives in,” she said.

Wanda works hard to make her family a priority, and her relationships with those she loves are among her proudest accomplishments.

If she came with a warning label, it would say, “Treat me as you would like to be treated,” she said.

When asked if there is anything people might not know about her, Wanda laughs and says, “Nothing. I’m an open book!”

Wanda has a piece of advice for prospective Service Tech candidates: Work hard and try to do what’s needed.

Working as a dispatcher can be difficult work and requires a lot of responsibility. But with over 23 years of experience, Wanda knows how to get the job done. Like other employees at Service Tech, Wanda takes pride in her relationships with her customers.
